I recently bought a CORE rifle system and needed a sight to put on it. I knew I wanted to go with some kind of magnified reddot, it came down to the vortex spitfire 3x and Burris 536 5x. After reading all the reviews I could find, I went to store to buy the Burris. When I got there it just did not feel right on my AR so I looked at the Spitfire again and that was it. In short, the Burris seems like a good scope but I went with the Spitfire because it fits well on my platform and seems to fit my purposes better. Two words of advice: 1. don't buy cheap optics 2. Try it on your rifle before you buy
bought this for our AR15. This is easy to use and is great for a short to medium range weapon. I am purchasing a vortex hst 4 x 16 x 44 for a long range gun. the ease of use and the sturdy build, along with a great warranty is why I will always buy vortex scopes. I am planning on buying another one of these on 3 power also. after I purchase my next AR15. it asks if I would recommend to a friend. yes but especially for me, the quick and easy sighting is great for fast target acquisition.
I love this scope, very well built but came with a dead battery
I bought this last month mounted it to my sig 516, it took 6 shots to zero in at 100 yards, the next weekend I took it out in the grasslands and although I forgot my targets I improvised, I was nailing Copenhagen cans out to 200 yards, I did have to re tighten the mounts after the first outing but it was still on target, it was a toss up between this and the Aimpoint pro, I chose this one because of the terrain I live in and wanted some range, I'm pleased it looks sweet on my sig and you can tell by holding it that it's a quality product
