It is not a "revolver".

My Trapper is great, love to shoot it. I also own a Traditions .50 cal rifle, great guns from Traditions.

A fine target pistol!

5

I am transitioning from percussion to flint & since I already owned a percussion Trapper pistol I bought the flint version. I sighted it in and practiced with it some at home before taking it to a rondy. Got first place at the first rondy I took it to and that was among all pistol shooters, percussion included. You would have to pay almost 3 times as much to buy a similar product from any other manufacturer. They call it a Trapper pistol but it is indeed a Target pistol.

Great value for the price.

I purchased this traditions Trapper flintlock 50 cal. P1090 a few months ago and finally got chance to shoot it at the range. I used the suggested .490 round ball and .015 patch and 25 grains of 3F black powder and sighted in at 40 Yards. This pistol is a blast to shoot right out of the box. My wife and I had blast that day!

Easy to assemble

I bought the pistol with the St Louis Hawkens in order to start slow on muzzle loading....the kit for the pistol is really easy and allows me to become comfortably familar with the pistol. Looks great.

Great piece..not a revolver

I bought this last year. How good is it? I split a card edge on at 20 paces. If you want to compete at a rendezvous.. this is then pistol to get. It is heavy, but it is deadly accurate, well built , and beautiful.

Very cool pistol!

This was my 2nd Traditions gun purchase. It is a very cool little flintlock. I've had zero problems with it. The fit and finish are awesome. There is nothing like holding a piece of history in your hand.

Great smoke stick

5

I have several smoke sticks but this is one of my favorite. Just love the old sidelocks and shoot them often. This gun will amaze you in target shooting and always draws a crowd at the range. People say that is a big fifty cal hole in target and can see it without glass. Just a great gun and have had great luck with it.

Such a blast!

Classic design and a lot of value for the price! For the beginner or seasoned shooter, such an accurate target pistol! Can't beat a lifetime warranty either, although I doubt I will ever need service.

Extremely Accurate and Reliable

5

Of course, this is not a revolver, despite what the company has titled it. It is a single shot pistol. I purchased this pistol about 2 years ago and have shot in competition twice a month ever since and I place either at the top or close on a regular basis. Our club participates in the Winchester/NRA qualifiers and I have used this pistol to achieve the highest level in the qualifications; Distinguished Expert. There are only 4 people in the country who have been able to achieve the muzzle-loading pistol Distinguished Expert Level, so this pistol must be pretty darn accurate. At that level half of your shooting is done at 50 Yards. That is a long way for any kind of pistol but this one certainly is up to the challenge. I have never had a mechanical breakdown and on my recommendation a number of our members have gotten their own Trappers and are now close on my heels in the qualifiers and at the matches. I highly recommend this pistol, so much so that I recently have purchased the Flintlock version just for fun!
