My family and I love this sleeping bag. Everybody wants to sleep in it. We have other sleeping bags (comparably priced), but none provide the performance and charm of this one. In fact, we will be getting another one this weekend. This bag is comfortable and super warm. I've yet to feel cold while sleeping in it. The only con that I can see with this bag is that it's a bit bulky when rolled up. Maybe. Otherwise, love it.
Fits great on top of the TETON Sports Outfitter XXL Cot that I bought at the same time. Plenty of room, nice and soft inside the bag. I haven't used it below 40 degrees outside, but, once inside this bag, you won't be cold. Well worth the money.
I'm a big guy and this was one of the bigger bags I could find. Definitely a "truck camping" bag, at this weight and bulk. It's very comfortable and seems well made for the price. It seems plenty warm, though the one time I've used it temps didn't drop below 45 or so in the tent. Don't know how accurate the temp rating is; guess it depends on the individual. I'm guessing the rating comes from the sheer amount of insulation as the construction is pretty old school. No draft collar at the top, no draft tube backing up the zipper. And the zipper is likewise pretty standard, meaning the chances for catching the material in the zipper are old-school high also. But overall I am very happy with this bag at this price. Hard to imagine doing any better without spending a whole lot more.
