I was skeptical about the boat myself since in live in Florida and all freshwater has Gators wanted one that fit on ladderracks ,well after about a year of looking I decided to buy this boat ,it's a fantastic boat for backwater areas , lakes , while I wouldn't go out on lake o in it I would all the others , bought a 5 hp motor too not too much drag carried four poles two men tackle. Small ice chest no problem at all , planning a RV trip out west next summer , Yellowstone lake and any backwater in between ,if I could just get my girlfriend to go out on it ,she loves the 28ft proline

I was very skeptical about buying a plastic boat after having my 12ft aluminum boat for 7 yrs but it was destroyed by fire and I needed a new boat quick. The sun dolphin was the only jon boat I could find in Columbia at a reasonable price so I took a chance on it. I fish the swamp at Santee mostly and I really wasn't sure how much of a beating this boat would take. Boy was I surprised..!! I'm going on my second year now, took the boat out 16 times last year and already twice here in 2015. I've fished a river and several large ponds along with the swamp and this boat is by far way better than the aluminum boat I had. It easily glides over stumps at the swamps and rocks at the river. It also is very stable and runs well with the 2.5 hp mercury motor I have on it. My only complaint is that there really is nowhere other than the front to tie anything to. I don't use a trailer so I just hoist it on and off my dodge ram but once on its difficult to tie down. other than that this boat is a winner and well worth every penny I've paid for it. Trust me this boat will surprise you.
