I have shopped several brands of waders befor buying these. My problem has always been the fit. I'm 6' 230 lbs., so I need a "Stout" fit wader. The issue I've had is the booty size. I have a size 9 shoe (small for my size). Most waders I've tried that fit my "girth" have a size 10.5-11 booty which left an extra 3-4 inches past my toes. These were the only waders I found at a reasonable price, that had a booty size which worked for me. Honestly that was the only reason I purchased these as I was running out of time for an up comming fishing trip.
That being said, I have been pleasantly surprised. I've used these several times throughout this past year. I have used them in my float tube, wading in creeks and rivers, and surf fishing. They have held up well, with no leaks to date. I would get another pair if the need arises.
they were a nice product till it started leaking....they didnt last long..probably on the 6th time i wore them they started to leak..i was not ruff on this product.took care of them.hung to dry..no sliding down banks..i'd put them on at the truck, walk about 100 yards to the river then back to the truck.. i will not buy again..my walmart waders at least lasted 2 years ,aprox.40 uses before they leaked
Seams started leaking withing 4 - 5 uses, less than a year.
I purchased these waders to replace a heavy non-breathable set of waders. Talk about a difference! While they are not the absolute top of the line guide quality wader that is available, for the average person that might use then a couple times a month at most they are great. You have to remember these are not like the old PVC waders that you can stick a hook in and they will self heal most of the time. For them to be lighter and breathe the materials are thinner and more fragile. This was explained to me at length in the store in Midvale. These are not intended to go running through the barbed wire or mountain climbing and then wading. If they are taken care of, rinsed and hung to dry they should last a long time. The only reason I didn't rate 5 stars is there is only 1 loop for the included wading belt and the cinch bungie at the top needs a heavier pinch thing a ma bob, but theses are minor details. I paired these with a set of Korker wading boots and plan on having years of enjoment with them. The salesman did advise me to keep an eye on the seam tape, aparently in the breathable waders if they are just rolled into a ball after use or left folded up the tape can sometimes lose it's adhearance there by decreasing the water resistance at that seam. If it happens it should be an easy repair however.
If I could give them 0 stars I would but 1 is the lowest you can go.
I got these as a gift, no receipt so I was stuck with them. Leaked the second time I wore them and every time after. I patched the leaks but they would just get new ones the next time out.
The fabric sucks and gets holes extremely easy. Sportsmans should be ashamed to even have these.
I got these waders because the young kid in the department said they are the very best ones they sell and that they have a lifetime warranty.
After i paid for them i found out its either 30 or 90 days warranty. Well today i was out fishing and i went to cross the river and what do you know they leak like a busted water pipeline.
I would avoid these waders at all cost.
