I bought this a few years ago and I've called in all kinds of coyote and fox with it. The sound is very good, some of the coyote calls have distortion though (from the recording, not the speaker). The remote is hard to read if you are in your 50's and your eyes are fading. The remote range is not up to par. I usually put the speaker in a tree or bush to get it off the ground and it works fine at about 50 yards or so. The unit has held up well. Customer support from Primos is awful. They don't even bother to respond. It's made in China. I'll move up to a FoxPro next time for the larger remote screen and hopefully their customer service is better.
Don't waste the money!!! You'd be better off with an old phonograph and a Yoko Ono album!!!! Sure, its loud, easy to use, blah blah blah. I have used it now for over a year, and have yet to call in a single animal. I can go out in my backyard and have three to four packs of coyotes calling at each other and as soon as I turn on the Turbo Dogg, total silence. I am convinced it scares them off. I have used it in areas overrun with dogs; Western Washington, Oregon, and Wyoming. NOTHING!!! I've had much more luck just driving roads and spotting them. Wished there was some way to get my $200 back.
Lots of clear volume with the turbo dog. For the price I'm very happy with the call. The down side is most of the coyote calls are recordings of good-ol Randy Anderson using his own calls Wish there were some actual coyote recording but hey still a great electronic call.... 2 thumbs up..
