Pflueger Trion Spinning Reel - Pflueger has proven the Trion series of spinning reels is at the top of its class with the latest technologies that can only be found with the dependable Pflueger fishing reels.
Pflueger Trion Spinning Reel - Pflueger pulled out all the stops when designing and developing the Trion spinning reel. Keeping a smooth experience was the ultimate goal when using the 6 stainless steel ball bearings, or 4 ball bearings with the TRI20 model. To further the smooth experience, Pflueger uses a threaded main gear which completely eliminates any play in the handle, as well as the multi-disc drag system which is comprised of stainless steel and oil felt washers. As with many other Pflueger reels, the Sure-Click™ bail gives an audible sound or click to signal when the bail is completely opened and ready to cast and begin fishing. Sick of all the issues with your fishing line getting twisted and snagged before you even cast? The Trion series of spinning reels use the anti-twist titanium line roller that keeps that line smooth and in order on the spool. This reel can be used in either left or right hand for your convenience.

Pflueger Trion review
I purchased one of these last Summer because the price was right and I've always liked Pflueger reels. I didn't have huge expectations for it, being one of of the more inexpensive reels in the Pflueger lineup. I've been pleasantly surprised by how this reel performs. I've used it 5 times and it hasn't even hiccuped. I'm using Power Pro 20lb braided line with it (around the same diameter as 6lb monofilament). The last time I put it to work I was fishing for Sea Run Cutthroat at my vacation property in Case Inlet, Puget Sound, WA. I fished for a solid 5 hours, constantly casting and retrieving from shore using the fly and float method. I cast at least 100 times and I encountered no issues. The line didn't go over the top of the spool enstead of around it at all. I run in to this aggravating problem with spinning reals I own which were much more expensive. I would have given it 5 stars, but I didn't because it's rather plain Jane looking, not a big deal. If it craps out any time soon I'll update my review.

The reel work like a champ because I caught a 15 lb and 12 lb Silver Coho as if I was using Shimano. My friends were very surprised of the performance. I was very happy with the performance, and I would recommend it to others as the young saleman Jessie has recommended it to me.
