Mountain House Freeze Dried Spaghetti 2 Serving Entree

I've tried most of the Mountain House brand dehydrated meals. I think this is their best one. Very easy to prepare, difficult to ruin. 473ml of boiling water into the pouch after tossing away the oxygen absorber. Stir, re-seal, wait 9 minutes. It makes a large amount of spaghetti. Add salt and other seasonings. I like to add Cholula, powdered garlic, and about 5 packets of restaurant salt. Problems with their others that contain rice or chunks of ham is those don't often reconstitute as designed and stay hard even when following instructions exactly. This one doesnt have that problem. This is their best meal pack.

I've had a hard time getting the rice and beans to re-constitute following their instructions exactly. This one has been problematic.

Mountain House Freeze Dried Hearty Beef Stew 2 Serving Entre

We took mountain house beet stew and other meals from mountain house food for a pack trip hunting elk in Colorado mountains. It is light weight very filling and taste good would recommend and will be using it again this year.

Mountain House Freeze Dried Grilled Chicken with Mashed Pota

This is my favorite Mountain House meal when I go hunting. It is not overly spicy and does not create a bunch of gas to fart while hunting elk in the mountains or in my stands. I don't separate the contents like the instructions state, no time for that, simply add your boiling water to all the ingredients in the pouch, seal and place under your shirt to warm yourself up as it rehydrates. Occasionally squish the contents in the bag around to mix things up good. The spices from the mashed potatoes really add good flavor to the chicken. Give it a few extra minutes to let the chicken really soak up the water ... a little extra water doesn't hurt!

Mountain House Freeze Dried Grilled Chicken with Mashed Pota

We love this dinner. We backpacked to the Havasupai Reservation in the Grand Canyon last year. This was our favorite meal of all. Yes, the chicken has to be taken out separately for a bit (ziploc bag)but this is the most flavorful. This year we bought the bucket of meals. It is so easy to take a meal each day to rehydrate for each hunting day. There is literally no clean up other than the packaging to take home. Love it!
