I had written a review on the 3C that I thought might be the equal to my Garcia reel I recently found that was purchased back in 1977. Maybe it is an equal to this 4C instead which looks more like it. anyway you look at it, it's nice knowing Garcia still puts the quality in their reels. Gone fish'In
Great for Muskies!!!!
I have a 6500 Garcia baitcasting reel my ex-wife bought me for Christmas back in 1977. Good muskie reel then and now. It looks like the updated Garcia C3. Except mine is red. Doesn't mater the color, it's the performance that counts. Mine has been in a tote for 12 years and I thought I lost it. I just found it and cleaned and oiled it. I had it on a 5 ft St. Croix back when I fished for Muskies in Wisconsin. Lost the rod somewhere. Now it's hanging on a new St. Croix Eyecon walleye rod. See, ex'es can be good for some things in life. By the way, it will find a new home in my rod locker in my new Lund boat Fury 1600 ss. Bye for now, Gone Fish'in. Tim
Wyoming but think I'll head back to Wisc
ROD SNAPPED SECOND TIME USING
I bought this for my birthday, I took it to boulder mtn two weeks ago and it was the second time I've ever used this(stored in a fishing pole holder and never rides in the back of the truck bed). I used it to cast out three times with a small lure on it, the forth time I heard a loud snap and i look up and my pole on the upper portion was broken and fiberglass was exposed. I contacted mitchell bc this pole was not cheap and they didn't offer to do anything without a receipt(I never keep them). Just wanted to let others know. Hopefully it was a fluke.
Good buy for money
Very good rod and reel combo, great for salmon fishing
Used for Muskie fishing casting lures, great reel.
best combo under 100$
For under 100$ you can't beat this rod/reel combo. I put major hours on this rod/reel combo for half a year getting in and out of kayak. The money is in the reel, which i ended up putting on a new rod and still works fine. I broke the rod myself on accident but it was a decent lake rod.
Abu Garcia C3 Round Baitcast Reel
Solid performing classic round reel that's even better than my first Ambassadeur I purchased in the 1960's.Smooth carbon fiber drag and improved centrifugal cast control for handling any freshwater fish.Probably the most popular reel on the Rogue River.

Mitchell 300 Spinning Rod and Reel Combo
I fish on average of 6-8 times a month and this is one of the best reels I have ever used. I bought the combo and would recommend it to anyone.
Mitchell 300 Pro Spinning Rod and Reel Combo
This is an extremely sexy looking combo! These reels are so smooth in casting and retrieval that they feel like a much more expensive reel. I will definitely buy a few more of them. The rod they matched the reel with is a very good quality. This is what you can expect from the Mitchell brand though!
