I use everyday as a work boot in winter and early summer. And hunt with them in fall. Great boot. 2 years and still look great and fit well. No or very little break in. Great boot a little pricey but worth the monies.

Best boots I've owned

No break in at all. Totally comfortable. I like the light weight and ankle support. I've had foot surgery and metal added to fix a left foot injury. These boots eliminated my foot pain, even when worn all day. I use them hunting, hiking, when working on my property, riding my toys, basically whenever I'm out and about outdoors. I've never experienced wet feet wearing my boots. I did prefer the lumpy soles of my previous Danner boots, but these are more comfortable.

I will never buy Danners again

I have had three pair of Danner Pronghorns. They are fairly light weight they are reasonably comfortable. The molded sole however is only good for dry dirt,it is slick in wet grass, poor traction in mud,and dangerous in the snow. The waterproof will only last one season. If you only wear them one season and it never rains they are a good boot.

Ordering my second pair

I bought a pair several years ago, they are close to being the most comfortable boots I have ever owned, and have been buying Danner for over 30 years. I wear them a lot, they are wearing out but have served me well and I am ordering another pair.

Very poor lacing system

Turkey, Elk and Deer hunting. Got first pair lasted 3 month before the cloth eyelets tour out. Called Danner they sent me a new pair, I waxed the laces to try and reduce the friction on the eyelets, they lasted 9 months before they tour out again. Then they started to leak, I was told my toe must have rubbed a hole in the Gortex, so nothing they could do to help. I have used Danner boots for over 30 years, I won't be buying them again. Really bad boot design stay away from them, waste of money.

Great boots. I'm planning to buy a second pair soon

These are the most comfortable work boots I have ever worn period. I highly recommend them, the only drawback is the soles are not replaceable.

I doubt if I would buy this boot again

I've always bought and loved Danner boots and this one was not exception. Lightweight and comfortable with little break in period needed. However, one of the cloth loops that holds the lacing broke after a 2 week elk hunt. I was able to bypass the broken loop during lacing, but the design was poor. If another loop breaks that will be a problem.

Danner Mens Pronghorn Uninsulated 8 Inch Hunting Boots

I've worn these boots just about every day for two years, work and weekends. Lightweight, easy roll forward with each step. I just purchased my second pair as a back up, not that I need them or the ones I have are worn out, but just in case Danner decides to change something or discontinue them. My feet love em!

Danner Pronghorn Uninsulated 8 Inch Hunting Boots

Boots are light and require no break-in period. They were comfortable from the first wear. I got the uninsulated version, so in colder weather I wear wool socks and it keeps my feet very warm. I suffer from ankle instability, and these boots are very sturdy and offer much needed protection when hiking through elk country. I rolled my ankle wearing a different pair of boots on my last elk hunt and I bought these boots immediately after. During that same elk hunt, 4 fellow hunters in camp were wearing this boot; they were on to something. Its a great boot.

Danner Uninsulated High Ground Hunting Boots

on 2nd day in on a eight mile hike to our base camp and the stitching came loose between the Nylon and leather. Have been wearing Danners for close to 30 years and this is the first pair I have had a problem. Was able too switch back to my 10 year old pair of Danners which performed well.
