As close to a perfect hunting jacket that you will find!
Planning for my first East Wyoming hunt I knew I was going to need outer layers that were windproof and at least water resistant in case of rain or snow. This jacket did not disappoint! I wore an Under Armor base layer with either a Carhartt L/S shirt or Killik L/S shirt and stayed plenty warm and comfortable at 30 degrees or 50 degrees. Light rain that fell for 2 hours never penetrated the jacket, nor did a 30 mph wind. The fabric and zippers are quiet, the underarm vents work well, and the waist drawstring worked perfect to keep the wind out. I'm 6'3", 230 lbs and the XL fit me perfect, including sleeve length. I wish this was made in a blue or black so that I could buy one for non-hunting use.
Worth the money.
This is the best hunting jacket ever. I was hunting in northern montana and it was raining most of the time, I came back home nice and dry. This jacket holds to what it claims. Over all an awsome hunting jacket.
Hunted mule deer for three days in SE Montana with this jacket. It was about 41° with 10-15moh winds. This jacket kept out the wind and was base layered with Killik quarter zip long sleeve shirt. It was warm and was able stayed out and glass all day. Great jacket!
This is a great product.
If you like sitka then your going to like this.the quality is great and it feels great.this is a great hunting jacket over all.
Killik Gear Men's Nexus Jacket
I bought this jacket last summer when I received a SW gift card for my birthday. Since I have an upcoming hunt for caribou in Alaska next summer I decided to go with the Nexus due to its water resistant capabilities. This fall I used the jacket for a mule deer hunt in southeastern Washington in September and October in all weather, and for a late season whitetail hunt in northeastern Washington in November in snow-rain-sleet conditions. The jacket only became wet on the inside once, during a downpour in September that honestly was more suited to rubberized rain gear than a hunting jacket.
My son borrowed my jacket for his mule deer hunt in October and stayed dry during a day of intermittent showers. He is a die-hard Sitka gear fan, but admitted that with the exception of a few zippers and accessories (he is a fan of hoods, I am not), my Killik jacket performed as well in the field at a much lower price.
I am pleased with the jacket's performance. It kept me dry during all other weather conditions and I plan to use it for my Alaska hunt this coming August. In fact, I will probably buy a pair of pants and gaiters as well. A great product for the price.

Killik Gear Nexus Jacket
This is a great coat. The weather was cold in the mornings and with a base layer and t shirt, it's perfect. Once the temp got warmer, I would lose the base layer and it worked well all day long. The vents are nice and it's super quiet.
