Clam Ice Fishing Chair - Making it the perfect companion for all types of ice fishing, the Clam Chair is a lightweight chair that allows you to rest your legs while fishing and converts as a gear bag and rod storage to maximize your dollar into one ultimate package.
Clam Ice Fishing Chair - Throw the Clam Chair onto your ice fishing gear without worrying about adding to much weight to your sled. This lightweight chair is only 12 pounds and doubles as a gear bag and rod storage. The padded seat and backrest allows for hours of comfortable ice fishing. The built in fish bag keeps your fish fresh and out of the way. The rigid interior framework protects your gear and rods as well as withstands the usual beating your gear can take while bumping along on the sled. The two long accessory compartments easily hold your rods or tip-ups as you move between holes or just for storage. The compartment holds and protects about 6 rod and reel ice fishing combos.

It's a good idea but not for me.
Not a good chair....seat is small. Not a good backpack either. if I'm packing super light and not fishing with a shack. The tried and trusted bucket to sit on and backpack for gear works better. My wife bought me two for Christmas. Returning them both.
Good Idea, Poor execusion
I first got the chair and i was stoked! instead of carrying a bucket with all my stuff and a chair separately, it was all in one easy compact package that fit on my back. I set out on the ice ready to show it off to all my fishing buddies and it was a hit. Here's where i started noticing problems. While its on your back, the straps are so far apart on your that they just want to fall off your shoulders (and do very often). Not a big deal, I'll just put a chest strap on it so it clips together and stays in place. On the second outing, as i was pulling my fishing pole out of the pole storage compartment I noticed light in the compartment. I noticed that the strain from the straps on the pack was pulling the seam apart. I sent pictures to Clam warranty center and they quickly responded and another chair is on the way (Great customer service!). While waiting for the new chair to arrive i was inspecting the old chair to see what I could do to prevent this from happening again (I don't like that I have to modify it in order for it to work properly). I opened it up and took the frame out of the pack and the seam is ripped up the entire back of the chair. What?! This is after two uses. Where the chair folds and rubs on the back you can see its already starting to cause problems and very soon it would rip through the backing material.
I like the thought and even the design but the material used is cheap and not good for its intended job. The Customer service is the only reason I gave it 2 stars.
