I received this case and was a little disappointed with it. Not saying it's bad but it wasn't really balanced when holding the handles with my shotgun in it. (I have an SX3 Waterfowl 28" barrel)The gun fit despite some other reviews I read on other sites. I purchased the drake floating one shortly after I received this one and I like it much better. The drake is easier to access the gun and will be able to dry out much faster (if it gets wet) since the whole side opens up. The fold over end could be a pain with cold wet hands but that's not that big of deal. Other than that, it's not a bad case, it's sturdy and well constructed, and I liked it enough to keep it for one of my backup shotguns. I put "would recommend" but it would be after I mentioned the drake case. I feel there are better floating cases out there for around the same cost. I showed a buddy this case and then the drake and he went out and purchased the drake floating case also. The Avery does look pretty sweet though.
