Yamamoto Swimbait - A non-stop fish catcher, Yamamoto's swimbait works best with a plain jig head ranging from 1/4 to 1/2 oz in weight. Simply cast out, put the reel in gear, and let the swimbait on a jig head fall toward bottom on a semi-tight line. You'll often get hit on the initial descent, especially in the last few feet just before the swimbait touches bottom. Keep your line semi-tight, and as you watch your line, you'll know when it hits bottom, since you will see and may even feel the line billow slack. At this point, start reeling slow and steady, allowing the swimbait to sink on a semi-tight line every so often to ensure it's staying within close proximity to the bottom. That's all there is to being utterly productive all season long using Yamamoto's superb 3-1/2' swimbait! At its best on medium tackle within the 8 to 12 lb test line range.
