Vortex Diamondback 20-60x80 Angled Body Spotting Scope(1314519)
Vortex Diamondback 20-60x80 Angled Body Spotting Scope - Born into the bloodline of our popular Diamondback family, this all new spotter delivers outstanding performance, clearly a superb choice when you need a heavyweight performer in a light, compact package.
Vortex Diamondback 20-60x80 Angled Body Spotting Scope - The Diamondback optics guarantee a bright image throughout the magnification range and, as true to all Diamondback optics, the rugged construction stands up to rough use in the field. Multi-layer coatings provide the clearest, brightest, most color-accurate images possible. Vortex proprietary XR anti-reflective coatings, fully multi-coated on all air-to-glass lens surfaces, increase light transmission for maximum brightness. The angled body design is valued for allowing an overall lower mounting height which maximizes stability in wind, offers greater comfort when glassing for extended periods, and permits the use of a smaller, lighter tripod. Nitrogen gas purging delivers fogproof, waterproof performance.

Researched the heck out of spotting scopes for long range target shooting. Sportsman's Warehouse is the best, the salesman and I took at least 10 scopes outside and set them up on a tripod and scoped the same targets from 100 to 500 yds. This the only way to get a true comparison. I was amazed at how many high end scopes simple could not be shapely focused even at 200 yds.
The Diamondback 20-60x80 beat scopes that where over $2,000 including some higher priced Vortex scopes when it came to clarity and brightness. I could see quarter sized groups at 500 yds. even with my 67 year old eyes.
The only drawback is the focus control which can be a little course at higher magnifications but for the price I can live with that. I leave the cover on my scope at the range and other shooters that shot for me rave about the clarity, when they ask me what scope it is and I tell them it is Vortex Diamondback they can't believe it.
Buy this scope it is the best kept secret on the scope market.
