I am partial to scoped rifles for multiple uses. The 2-7x magnification works great for an Ar15 or other high velocity small caliber rounds but you could use it for whatever you like. This scope is clear, durable, and comparable to scopes that cost much more.
The Bdc reticle makes estimating longer
shots much easier and the instruction manuel included will show you how to use it. The turrets are nice but the clicks could be a little more positive. The scope holds zero very well and I havent had any issues. Its hard to complain when I got this scope for 120 dollars. Both the focus ring and magnification ring are smooth and easy to use in the field. My biggest issue is that the eye relief is fairly long in my experience compared to other rifle scopes but this is hardly an issue as the scope can be moved to suit your needs on whatever mount you are using. If you are reading this and considering a buy, do it because you wont find a better scope for the money anywhere else.

I bought this a while ago and mounted it on a 7mm magnum browning A-bolt. After a half a box of shells The windage and elevation knobs are so loose It simply won't dial in a hundred yard shot. I know Vortex will fix it for free but have not had the time to send it in as of yet. My suggestion is don't mount one on a magnum rifle. I plan to mount it on a .223 after its fixed under warranty. My first Vortex was in the 1,000 dollar range a viper FFP 6-24x50mm and was mounted on a .338 winchester magnum had ZERO problems with it so it may just be a fluke.

Amazing clarity

Comments about Vortex Optics Vortex Crossfire II Rifle Scope:

Looked through several different brands at the gun counter. For text was by far the clearest inside the store, and that has held through in the field in all lighting conditions. Combine that with the warranty if you can't beat it! So glad I took a chance on this brand I'll be buying more of their glass soon!

Comments about Vortex Optics Vortex Crossfire II Rifle Scope:

I have the 4-12x44 on a savage model 11 .308 and this scope truely blew my mind. I'm about two years into shooting long range non competitively and have made accurate shots out to 1000 yards and it's still capable of coyote and deer hunting at close range with ease. The focus and clarity of these optics in my opinion are far better than Nikon and leuipold which I used to be very fond of. I own two of the 4-12 scopes and two of the 3-9x40 and soon hope to have the 1000 yard rangefinder I'm in much need of a new one and have 100% confidence that vortex will be the right choice! Thanks for an awesome product and keep up the good work!

So real to life...It is

Comments about Vortex Optics Vortex Crossfire II Rifle Scope:

This is my first Vortex product and might I say not soon to be the last. I was urged by my brother and cousin who are both firm believers in the Vortex line to give it a try. My first impression was how unbelievably strong the shell itself was. Then at first glance through the optics I was sold, it was like looking at everything that was once out of reach, fuzzy, and not quite right in crystal clear view. It was if I could reach right out and touch it.
Never again will I waste my time or money on lesser quality optics, and with the Vortex warranty how could you go wrong?

Comments about Vortex Optics Vortex Crossfire II Rifle Scope:

I have it mounted on a Ruger M77 in .22-250. I use this gun for coyotes and blacktails. Works awesome in low light levels and in the brush but being able to crank it up in clear cuts and longer shots is what sold me on it. I had a Leupold VX2 4-12 on it before and would never go back.

Comments about Vortex Optics Vortex Crossfire II Rifle Scope:

I purchased this product to pair it with my Ruger American Predator in .308 for a budget distance build. The glass is amazing from the lowest power to the highest. I was consistently ringing the gong at 700 yards no problem all thanks to the Crossfire II. You can never go wrong with any Vortex product.

Awesome, now I need another one for my 300 Blkout

Comments about Vortex Optics Vortex Crossfire II Rifle Scope:

Crystal clear in low light. I hunt in South Carolina and the deer don't typically move until the sun is almost set, so a scope that lets a light of light in is a must!!

Best purchase yet!

Comments about Vortex Optics Vortex Crossfire II Rifle Scope:

I switche'd from a Bushnell 3-9X40 to this scope just for the higher magnification. Little did I know how clear, bright, and easy this scope would be! It has made my accuracy go up a bunch and made me actally able to see target hits without using binos, or a spotting scope. Great product!!!

I am definitely a Vortex fan

By

Comments about Vortex Optics Vortex Crossfire II Rifle Scope:

I installed the scope on my 308 Win. Remington 738 using the Remington one piece base/ring assembly. No lapping was needed. After bore sighting, which required 2 clicks to left, I took it to the range and dialed it in at 50 and then 100 yards. The windage and elevation turrets are easy to use and the glass is so clear. I replaced the factory synthetic stock with a Boyds stock and since then have fired 6 boxes of Remington Corelokt through it and it remains dead on at 100 yards shooting sub 3/4 inch 3 shot groups. I am most impressed with the optical quality and the overall quality and durability of this scope. Fan for life.

Great scope!

Comments about Vortex Optics Vortex Crossfire II Rifle Scope:

I recently decided to switch from a red dot to a scope for my AR as most of my shooting at the range is done from distance. My friend has a Crossfire II on his .270 and has had nothing but great things to say about it. After looking through his scope in a variety of different conditions, I ran out to get one, and I couldn't be happier. The glass is as clear as my Leupold and the turrets are well built and easy to adjust. It zero'd within a dozen rounds or so and has held it since. If you want a scope that won't break the bank but offers the clarity of scopes twice the price, I have no issue recommending this
