I am partial to scoped rifles for multiple uses. The 2-7x magnification works great for an Ar15 or other high velocity small caliber rounds but you could use it for whatever you like. This scope is clear, durable, and comparable to scopes that cost much more.
The Bdc reticle makes estimating longer
shots much easier and the instruction manuel included will show you how to use it. The turrets are nice but the clicks could be a little more positive. The scope holds zero very well and I havent had any issues. Its hard to complain when I got this scope for 120 dollars. Both the focus ring and magnification ring are smooth and easy to use in the field. My biggest issue is that the eye relief is fairly long in my experience compared to other rifle scopes but this is hardly an issue as the scope can be moved to suit your needs on whatever mount you are using. If you are reading this and considering a buy, do it because you wont find a better scope for the money anywhere else.

I bought this a while ago and mounted it on a 7mm magnum browning A-bolt. After a half a box of shells The windage and elevation knobs are so loose It simply won't dial in a hundred yard shot. I know Vortex will fix it for free but have not had the time to send it in as of yet. My suggestion is don't mount one on a magnum rifle. I plan to mount it on a .223 after its fixed under warranty. My first Vortex was in the 1,000 dollar range a viper FFP 6-24x50mm and was mounted on a .338 winchester magnum had ZERO problems with it so it may just be a fluke.

just an average scope

Comments about Vortex Optics Vortex Crossfire II Rifle Scope:

I read more than a hundred reviews on this scope, so many 5 star reviews its got to be good, received it in the mail less than 2 minutes to work out its average, slow to get a clear sight picture, fuzzy on 9x. Only ever owned U.S.A made VX 1 Leuplod scopes. I will not stray again.

Quality Scope

Comments about Vortex Optics Vortex Crossfire II Rifle Scope:

This scope came mounted on my Mossberg Patriot .308 as a package deal. Wasn't really sure what to expect in a packaged scope but it has performed well. It was pretty easy to site in and seems to hold zero well. I shot my first buck with the set up last weekend at about 90 yards and the shot went where I aimed--the 165lb 7pt dropped where he stood. For a packaged scope at this price point, I'm not sure you could get much better. There can be a bit of a glare in the eyepiece at daybreak for whatever reason and I wish just a little more light got in sometimes but the fact is that this isn't a high priced scope. All said and done, it gets the job done well.

Great scope for a great price

Comments about Vortex Optics Vortex Crossfire II Rifle Scope:

I work behind a gun counter. Before deer season I was showing many hunters different guns and scope packages. I had one gun set up with a Nikon and another with a Vortex. Every customer that I showed both rifles to selected the Vortex over the Nikon. I bought 2 for myself, one for my AR and another for my .17 HMR . Good stuff Vortex..

It's definitely good for the money.

Comments about Vortex Optics Vortex Crossfire II Rifle Scope:

For the money that is being invested into this scope, you can't go wrong. It works really well for medium and larger game within 300 yards. That being said, at the 300 yard mark and further the clarity started entering almost a haze especially on smaller critters like coyotes that do well with blending in their surroundings. It's also a tad to bulky for my rifle and it's use. On the up side with a steel target that was painted white, I was content with it up to 600 yards. If you're a hunter who's after more than the common deer, enjoys pushing your skills and firearm to their limit; I suggest stepping it up in quality with the Vortex line.

Excellent products

Comments about Vortex Optics Vortex Crossfire II Rifle Scope:

After 2 rounds of upsets with leupolds I exchanged those for a vortex crossfire and will never look back. After 90+ rounds and not being able to zero a leupold to only 9 rounds to zero wth vortex. Great scopes guys keep up the good work.

Great Scope!!!

By

from Bells Tennessee

Comments about Vortex Optics Vortex Crossfire II Rifle Scope:

Bought this scope after looking at many others that cost two and three times as much. Sighted in at 200 yards with my rem. 700 7mm that I bought over thirty years ago. With a little practice two months later I took my first bull elk at 497 yards standing in a small opening in the aspens. Could never have made that shot without this scope! Thanks again for a great product all my optics will be VORTEX in the furture.

Best Buy For a QUALITY Scope

By

from Saskatoon, Sask, Canada

Comments about Vortex Optics Vortex Crossfire II Rifle Scope:

This is my second Vortex scope, and the performance of my first one led me to this one. To put it simply, this is the best value, quality scope on the market today. I was looking for a reasonably priced optic to mount on my mini-14. Since the mini is not a bench rest tack driver, I wanted something reasonably priced, yet QUALITY. So I went on my search. Internet, YouTube, Store, etc. The base line I used was how well the other scopes stacked up against the Crossfire II, the first scope I looked at. End of search, NONE OF THEM DID ! This is the best deal anywhere. Good to great glass, will take the pounding of the mini, and if it doesn't, it's backed by the best warranty in the business. Way to go Vortex, another home run.
