I have had a few scopes in my lifetime from many different ranges and none compares to the Vortex!! Being a 20 year military veteran as well as a life long hunter, to say I'm impressed with the Vortex is an understatement! My Vortex is superior to my Leupold, my Steiner, Trijicon, Nikon and my Bushnell scopes! From its clear crisp sight, easy to sight in as well as the great price and no hassel return policy, I'm more than pleased with my Vortex!! I have nominated myself as the "Official spokesman to all who listens for Vortex Optics! I was introduced to Vortex by a great friend. A
28 year Special Forces Army Officer who swore the Vortex are the best Optics on the market!! I steadfastly concur with his assessment!!

I bought this a while ago and mounted it on a 7mm magnum browning A-bolt. After a half a box of shells The windage and elevation knobs are so loose It simply won't dial in a hundred yard shot. I know Vortex will fix it for free but have not had the time to send it in as of yet. My suggestion is don't mount one on a magnum rifle. I plan to mount it on a .223 after its fixed under warranty. My first Vortex was in the 1,000 dollar range a viper FFP 6-24x50mm and was mounted on a .338 winchester magnum had ZERO problems with it so it may just be a fluke.

Fantastic Scope

By

from Ashland, Ohio

Comments about Vortex Optics Vortex Crossfire II Rifle Scope:

This was my first Vortex scope and mounted it on an 18" 5.56 build with 1" Vortex high rings. Mounted very easily and zeroed even easier. This scope is crystal clear and is well built. Bought this for the price and unmatched VIP warranty. Four months after original zeroing it is still dead on. My son came home from NYC for a visit and we went to the range. He took the first shots.....3" AR500 knock-down targets at 200 yards.....5 shots and 5 direct hits. This is a great scope. Vortex has a new life-long customer. My next Vortex is going to be the Sparc ll for my new 10.5" 300 Blackout build. Great scope, great company, great warranty.

Very Impressed

By

from Painted Post, NY

Comments about Vortex Optics Vortex Crossfire II Rifle Scope:

I recently purchased this scope as a gift for my son to mount on his FNAR 7.62X51. I mounted the scope
and loaded up some 155gr Hornady HPBT with 47gr of W-748,and headed for the range. The first shot (25 yds. was on the paper, so I made a couple adjustments and took the target out to 100yds. I just had to lower it a bit and we started shooting some groups. I was impressed with the clarity of the scope. My 56yr old eyes had no trouble seeing the bullet holes. The adjustments were crisp and very accurate. The scope has no parallax at 100 yds. and I was able to lay down some groups you could cover with a quarter.
I have Many Leupold "High Dollar" scopes . I have used Simmons, Swift, Bushnell, Tasco, Nikon, and BSA,in the past. There is nothing in this price range that even comes close to the features and quality of this Optic. This ain't the last one I'll buy for certain.

Bang for Buck

By

from Alberta Canada

Comments about Vortex Optics Vortex Crossfire II Rifle Scope:

Best bang for buck rifle scope out there. I am a novice shooter that has developed my shooting skills on my own over time. I can say with confidence new shooters will have no problem with this model. The ease of use, extreme cold weather durability, and the no questions guarantee sold me right away. The DEAD HOLD BDC gives me several options for a shot at any range. If i had to rate this model for new shooters it would rate pretty high. Oh ya and I hunt in Canada so....... no time for excuses up here.

Great Customer Service and Pretty Good Scope

By

from Texas

Comments about Vortex Optics Vortex Crossfire II Rifle Scope:

+ I purchased this scope to mount on a suppressed cz455. I love the clarity and the parallax adjustment which allows me to quickly adjust my bullet drop when shooting jack rabbits at different distances from 10-100 yds.
- I wish the parallax adjustment was a side turret and not at the end of the scope which makes quick acquisitions tougher but I couldn't justify the next step up in price for just popping rabbits.
+ I brought it back from the camp after a weekend and noticed the illumination turret had came off (never used it anyways but Hey it broke). I sent it back and was returned repaired within a week but several specs of debris were captured in the lens so I needed to send in back. The owner said he would address the issue personally and did! I had a return label within the hr. and after returning...was sent back in short order with all issues corrected.
- Unfortunately It's still sitting in the return box as I'm now looking for something with a side turret to replace it.

Absolute best!

By

from Turner, Me

Comments about Vortex Optics Vortex Crossfire II Rifle Scope:

I got this scope for its cheap price to put on to my cheaper rifle that i do just about everything with, but it is by far the best scope i have ever had and used! Its rugged, crystal clear, and you can not beat the warranty on vortex's product. I will continue buying all sorts of vortex products for all my firearms, and then some!

Great Scope!

By

from Havre Montana

Comments about Vortex Optics Vortex Crossfire II Rifle Scope:

Around two weeks ago, I purchased the Mossberg Patriot synthetic in 30-06, as a combo with the Vortex Crossfire II 3-9x40 (For $439!) I couldn't be happier with the rifle, but the optic is what really shines. This optic is very clear, and has a great field of view. The Dead hold BDC is enough to provide hold overs for longer ranges, but not so much that it will get in the way for hunting. I will surely be purchasing more vortex products in the future!

Comments about Vortex Optics Vortex Crossfire II Rifle Scope:

My son bought his first rifel and was looking for a decent scope, but did not have a lot of money. The cross fire ll has proved to be vary accurate . Excellent clarity much better then scopes that cost twice as much . Great buy now counting down to deer season.

Top shelf all the way

By

from Saranac Lake, NY

Comments about Vortex Optics Vortex Crossfire II Rifle Scope:

I purchased a CZ527 in .223 at the tail end of 2016. I knew that I wanted to put quality optics on this gun because I wanted it to do double duty both as a varmint rifle and for target shooting. After reading many reviews from a host of sources and noting what scopes were being used by many of the YouTube bloggers that I watch; I chose this scope. The quality of the build can be seen as soon as you open the box and I am stilled amazed with its performance. At the same time as I made my purchase, my hunting partner also purchased a Ruger American Ranch in .223. He added a scope from a well known and more expensive competitor. It wasn't long before the clarity of my Vortex allowed me to spot his hits on paper with my scope and tell him where I was hitting before he could see my shots through his spotting scope. Indeed, the gun/scope combo I was using was putting up groups so small at 100 yds that after 4 or 5 shots we would just call out "same spot" because it seems as though the single hole just gets bigger. To say we were both impressed is an understatement.

Within a couple of months, his scope went back in the box and he had a new Vortex on his rifle. The two guns are pictured below and they make for an unbeatable combination. There is also an example of a typical target. When you consider this was done in early January on a sub 20 degree day you may begin to understand why I am so pleased with this purchase.

So, I am seven months into using this scope and I have had no problems. None. The adjustments are still very tight, but I am hoping that when I am not shooting in sub-freezing temperatures, that they will loosen up a bit. I only have one item that I would like to bring to Vortex' attention. Please make the turret adjustments more of a positive click. They are too soft and it is easy to overshoot your adjustment, especially when wearing gloves.
