I am partial to scoped rifles for multiple uses. The 2-7x magnification works great for an Ar15 or other high velocity small caliber rounds but you could use it for whatever you like. This scope is clear, durable, and comparable to scopes that cost much more.
The Bdc reticle makes estimating longer
shots much easier and the instruction manuel included will show you how to use it. The turrets are nice but the clicks could be a little more positive. The scope holds zero very well and I havent had any issues. Its hard to complain when I got this scope for 120 dollars. Both the focus ring and magnification ring are smooth and easy to use in the field. My biggest issue is that the eye relief is fairly long in my experience compared to other rifle scopes but this is hardly an issue as the scope can be moved to suit your needs on whatever mount you are using. If you are reading this and considering a buy, do it because you wont find a better scope for the money anywhere else.

I bought this a while ago and mounted it on a 7mm magnum browning A-bolt. After a half a box of shells The windage and elevation knobs are so loose It simply won't dial in a hundred yard shot. I know Vortex will fix it for free but have not had the time to send it in as of yet. My suggestion is don't mount one on a magnum rifle. I plan to mount it on a .223 after its fixed under warranty. My first Vortex was in the 1,000 dollar range a viper FFP 6-24x50mm and was mounted on a .338 winchester magnum had ZERO problems with it so it may just be a fluke.

Perfect scope for my 45-70!

By

from Englewood, Ohio

Comments about Vortex Optics Vortex Crossfire II Rifle Scope:

I needed a good low magnification optic for my 45-70 to take deer hunting. I picked this scope up and sighted it in at 100 yards. The glass is clear and my target looked crisp. The small red dot in the middle is excellent for low light shots. Even in the massive recoil of a 45-70, the scope maintained its zero. i would definitely recommend this scope to my friends!

Perfect for Squirrels!

Comments about Vortex Optics Vortex Crossfire II Rifle Scope:

I purchased this optic to replace an old cheap scope on my Winchester model 69A. Once I sighted it in, it was 100 times better! Clear glass, smooth magnification adjustment, and just the right reticle for picking off squirrels. I never knew how accurate my rifle was until I put this scope on.

Just bought my 2nd one...

Comments about Vortex Optics Vortex Crossfire II Rifle Scope:

Had a .308 and a .30-30. Finally bought a .223 bolt gun and an AR in .223 My 9yo son liked this scope on the Remington 783 in .223. On the AR complained about the other CQB scope I had on my AR, saying he couldn't see the whole on the 100yds targets, which is true... you can't see them very well on a 1-3x scope. So... since I was pleased with the Crossfire II 2-7x32mm, able to pop a soda bottle at 200yds using the 2nd BDC mark on the Remington 783. I decided to get one for the AR as well. Nice tight groupings. And I actually prefer their simpler BDC marks instead of the circles on another manufacturers scope on my .308

Comments about Vortex Optics Vortex Crossfire II Rifle Scope:

I put this scope on a 17 HMR two years ago, since then I have harvested numerous small game and the scope has stayed true even after taking some abuse. The optic has a clarity that doesn't match the price.

Perfect Predator Rifle Scope

By

from Durand, WI

Comments about Vortex Optics Vortex Crossfire II Rifle Scope:

I recently took this scope off my AR platform rifle and put it on my dads predator rifle for him. I can't say enough about the Vortex company and their products! I will never purchase any brand other than Vortex. Regardless my dad loves having this scope especially with the V-Brite so he can turn it on in low light conditions.

Nice Little Scope

By

from Idaho

Comments about Vortex Optics Vortex Crossfire II Rifle Scope:

I bought this scope 3 years ago, and put it on an AR-10. I was looking for a tough, light weight scope that would work for fairly close range but still let me reach out for some long shots. This scope fits the bill. It's not too heavy, has great eye relief, and the 4-12 zoom range is satisfactory. No complaints!

Great Scope for the Money!

By

from Wyoming

Comments about Vortex Optics Vortex Crossfire II Rifle Scope:

This scope is a great scope for the money! I purchased this for a .243 Win I had that needed an optic. I wanted something that was durable yet not gonna break the bank account either. I did some searching on the internet and Vortex kept coming up in all the different searches and forums that showed up in the searches. I decided to give the Crossfire II a shot. I have to say that the clarity of the glass for an optic in this price range is incredible. Very Clear. I was surprised. I also like that the turrets are fingertip adjustable and accurate! Zeroing was a breeze and the zero has not shifted in several range trips. I am happy with this optic and anyone looking for a good optic when on a budget or for a good price, I wouldn't look past this one! You also cant beat the outstanding Warranty that Vortex offers! Great job Vortex and keep up the great work!
