I had a Leupold 3-9x40 on my .22-250 for years, and always felt the magnification was lacking. I decided to give Vortex a try because of the warranty and price, so I sold my Leupold and picked up Crossfire II 6-18x44. To say the least, I am very impressed. There is a slight drop in image quality from the Leupold (as would be expected), but the less than $300 price tag for a quality high-magnification scope more than makes up for it.
