I am partial to scoped rifles for multiple uses. The 2-7x magnification works great for an Ar15 or other high velocity small caliber rounds but you could use it for whatever you like. This scope is clear, durable, and comparable to scopes that cost much more.
The Bdc reticle makes estimating longer
shots much easier and the instruction manuel included will show you how to use it. The turrets are nice but the clicks could be a little more positive. The scope holds zero very well and I havent had any issues. Its hard to complain when I got this scope for 120 dollars. Both the focus ring and magnification ring are smooth and easy to use in the field. My biggest issue is that the eye relief is fairly long in my experience compared to other rifle scopes but this is hardly an issue as the scope can be moved to suit your needs on whatever mount you are using. If you are reading this and considering a buy, do it because you wont find a better scope for the money anywhere else.

I bought this a while ago and mounted it on a 7mm magnum browning A-bolt. After a half a box of shells The windage and elevation knobs are so loose It simply won't dial in a hundred yard shot. I know Vortex will fix it for free but have not had the time to send it in as of yet. My suggestion is don't mount one on a magnum rifle. I plan to mount it on a .223 after its fixed under warranty. My first Vortex was in the 1,000 dollar range a viper FFP 6-24x50mm and was mounted on a .338 winchester magnum had ZERO problems with it so it may just be a fluke.

Great scope for an AR platform

By

Comments about Vortex Optics Vortex Crossfire II Rifle Scope:

I chose this scope for my latest 16" carbine AR build due to being able to use it in the 1 power for close quarters (home defense) but still have some zoom capability for hunting hogs, deer, or varmints. Is great for plinking, as well. Well built scope. Easy to use controls.
Very, very happy with it and can't beat the price.

I used to be a die hard Redfield man, as I said, used to be! Bought this for my Tikka 270 and absolutely love it. From now on it's nothing but Vortex for my hunting and sporting rifles.

Great scope, I would buy again

Comments about Vortex Optics Vortex Crossfire II Rifle Scope:

I put this scope on my 30-06. The image clarity is fantastic. The capped turrets are a nice feature they make it easy to adjust your zero for whatever hunting situation no will be in and easily reset it after its over. Most of our hunting is fairly close range so I prefer a 100yard zero but this year we hunted a different area that was more open. The turrets made it easy to change my zero to 200yards and just reset it back to the zero mark for my 100yard zero. I would recommend this to anyone. My father in law bought one after trying mine and loves it.

Comments about Vortex Optics Vortex Crossfire II Rifle Scope:

This scope replaced an old Burris 4 power on my deer rifle. The difference is night and day! I love the large field of view, and there isn't a better warranty on the market. Vortex has far surpassed my expectations. Now I've got my eye on some vortex binoculars, just can't decide which pair!
