Came in preparing for a 3 week trip with school. I walked out with such an amazing shoe. Goretex kept my feet dry and the vibram sole kept me stable with that back pack weighing me down. A true must buy!David of Reno, NV - July, 18 2011:
This shoe has been great! It has great traction and have yet to slip on any rocks. The sole is stiff so I don't feel everything that I step on. The support that the boot gives is great. I highly recommend trying these boots on.MLS of Brentwood, CA - March, 16 2012:
These are great boots! waterproof, breatheable durable; the works! they definitely hold up against boy scouts. however, me and my scout master have one discression, they have a plastic stip in the sole that once it cracks, the whole thing splits thus being crap.i have even told Vasque about this problem and suggested they use the sole from the Summits' or the Bitter-roots'but they havent listened. we however, both have had between 6 and 8 pairs each [of the wasatchs'] and love them! i currently have the bitterroots which are the cousins to the wasatchs'. Great boots, i reccomend them, just be weary of the soles.Joel of Orangevale, CA - April, 20 2013:
Pros: These are pretty comfortable out of the box and offer great ankle support. Water resistance is good as long as inner Gore-tex booty remains intacts. Cons: In regards to durability, I put just over 100 miles on the boots when one of the soles cracked. Also, there is a point where the leather is prone to creasing and cracking near the inner (big toe area) flex area just above the rubber toe area. Proper conditioning of the leather can help prevent cracks here. Due to my own experience with the soles and reports from other folks, I would decline to recommend these for anyone who puts serious mileage on boots.
