To sum it up, the Traeger is the finest cooking instrument on the planet! Amazing taste and super easy to use. Well worth the money, and I would recommend this BBQ/smoker to anyone! I used to have a gas grill, charcoal grill, and a smoker on my patio. The Traeger replaced them all! Now it stands alone and does the job better than any of the other three! Just make sure you follow manufacturers advice and foil line the drip tray, and cleanup is a snap.

I have owned a Traeger for over 10 years. Same unit. I want it to break down, so I can get a new one - I like the new look of these barbeques. It is the easiest BBQ for me to start, cook on, and clean. I keep a decorated pail with a lid on it, to store a bag of pellets in. When I go out to use it - I look to see if the hopper needs pellets - take out a little brush that I lay on the side - brush the grate and turn the switch on. I go in the house get my meat, come out and put it on the grill. It is that easy!! After cooking I shut it off for next time. Once every 9 months or so, my husband will clean the little hopper where it heats the pellets. We put aluminum foil over the large grate in the bottom, and usually change that once every three months. Mind you we use it probably 4 times a week! I love that I do not have to do any carrying of anything, I dont need to add any fuel like you do with a wood fire, I do not have to "tend" to it - it is just turn on and go!!! The hardest thing is making sure there are pellets in it!! I am a woman who hates to do this or that - I just want it done - and this does just that. Traeger grills are electric - there is elecricity that makes a little auger rotate around inside and that loads the wood pellets in to a little teeny hopper the size of a can of soup. There is a electronic starter that heats up the wood - its all done inside down below. The heat is so intense that the "ash" out of the pellets is virtually gone - we only clean it out maybe every 6-9 months if that. The meat that comes out of this is amazing! People keep asking how we do it. Pizza awesome! Takes less time than normal and I like the taste. I love these and will always own one - like I said I am waiting for mine to croak.
