Steve of Las Vegas, NV - January, 04 2013:

We purchased the 28 cup model in the store, as soon as it starts to boil it overflows, even on very lowest setting and pulled half off, it overflows once it percolates, top of basket clogs from grounds and it only has one plcae to go, out the sides. Don't buy unless you enjoy cleaning up the stove everytime.

Ken Davis of Caldwell, ID - September, 25 2013:

I've had this coffee pot in the 12 cup version for four years now and it's never overflowed. I use standard Mr. Coffee filters and coffee ground for percolators. I can see where it would overflow if you perc without a filter or the wrong grind. Makes really good coffee, easy to clean, sturdy and well made. Highly recommend.

    Mike G of Powell, WY - August, 04 2014:

I purchased the larger 16 cup version with the bail handle in 2013. The first chance I had to use this was July 2014. Sadly, this is cheaply made. The basket is to small, the stem and base warped when I made a second pot of coffee, and then would not percolate at all. I had to adjust the base of the stem several times. Also as one review stated, "the coffee has a tendency to boil over", that would accurately describe mine as well. I had the water level well below the basket, and used a course grind coffee. The lid then decided to warp and force must be used to seal the lid to the pot. All coffee was made on a camper stove at low heat. I never had this problem with any of my other perks, however they were not Texsport brand. Save your money and shop for another brand. This is a larger replacement for my older perks and I am very disappointed in the quality, not to mention this percolator was expensive.
