Temple Fork Outfitters Deer Creek Series Spey Rod - The Deer Creek series of rods were designed by two Pacific Northwest Spey casters, Mike Kinney and Bob Meiser. They used their combined 65 years of experience to create rods with a traditional progressive-regressive action making them ideal for executing all types of Spey and Skagit casts. This series of two-handed rods have casting properties that match wonderfully with modern Spey lines. The 8/9 weight rod is rated for 550 - 800 grain lines. The 10 weight rod is rated for 650 - 900 grain lines.
