Excellent Full Day 3 Season Hydration Day Pack

from Colorado Front Range

I've used this pack 7 times this summer with great results.

When I started early this spring with this pack, I carried an upper and lower wind/rain cover, fleece jacket, gloves, extra heavy socks, cold weather hat, first aid kit, map, compass/whistle, head lamp with spare batteries, and traction cleats.

Why Only Four Stars:

The rain cover works well but as with all rain covers of this style they only cover the outside of the pack. But this comes with one unlike most. I've been caught out in the rain twice now and found that the shoulder straps will collect moisture and get heavy. I'm about to give the whole thing a good coating of water proofing to fix this and for some extra protection. We should do this with everything we are taking out where it will rain anyways.

Also, the blatter bite piece is a little tight. I gave the slit a little enlargement maybe 2 mm. and now the water flows much easier.

This weekend I threw it in the bottom of my Deuter 50+10 backpacking pack and used it while exploring after we had setup camp.

I would definitely purchase one of these again.

pack changed my running

from Baltimore, md

i use this pack on long trailruns. Will be fitting a pouch with sawyer squeeze filter for creek drinking for longer runs. Could potentially do ultralight camping out of this pack.outer straps allow including alot of other gear if needed. Ran low on water the other day though. I def recommend at least 1 liter per 4 trail running miles).
