I bought this back pack just last week and used it for the first time yesterday. it is awesome for comfort, stability, size, quality, and all for the price its at. Sportsman's warehouse is the cheapest place i have found it online or anywhere for that matter. the only problem i had with it is that i pack for no less than two people at a time and sometimes more and it didnt have enough straps on the out side that i could tie on a sleeping bag to and ramdom things like that. well heck even besides that the pocket for the sleeping bag isnt near big enough so theres only room for A sleeping bag or a tent with the straps factory sewed on. you cant strap both on the outside. at least not without bungie cord or extra rope you bring. other than that one fault i absolutely loved it. it has plenty of pockets and is plenty big on the inside. the last trip i went on i carried 2 gallons of water, enough food for three meals, i figured out how to tie on 3 sleeping bags and a tent and it held up awesome. even with the weight it distributed it evenly between the shoulders and hips perfectly for a balanced load. hope this tells you want you need.Matt of Provo, UT - August, 15 2015:
I bought this pack about six months ago and have used it several times since then. #1 I love how light this pack is. Empty it weighs a little less than 4 pounds. I have taken this on many backpacking trips and the heaviest load it carried was around 43 lbs and it is still in almost new condition. Very durable materials and construction. In my opinion there are plenty of straps on the outside. I lashed my tent and my fishing pole on the outside of the pack and there was enough room for sleeping bag in its designated compartment. I loved having a pocket on the waist belt although it could have had two instead of just one. My only complaint about this bag is the one strap for the "brain" of the pack. It didnt make it feel very secure in my opinion. The pack also has a sheet of plastic in the back side of the pack and the brain didnt seem to fit around that very well which got annoying trying to compress everything together. Other than those minor annoyances I really have enjoyed this pack. Great for a noob or entry level backpacker looking for an inexpensive way to get started. If you are serious into backpacking go for something a little extra.
