I bought this muzzleloader in 2016 and put a scope on it and it very accurate I can throw very tight group at 100yds with this rifle, I also put down a elk with it at about 180yds
This rifle was purchased several years ago, and I've shot many pigs and many deer with it. The only reason I've given it 4 stars instead of 5, is because of the sights that it came with..they sit so low, I would have to chop off part of my face to get an eye low enough on the stock to have any kind of sight alignment.
Other than that, cleaning, and loading have always been easy, but it's the rifles inherent accuracy that I fell in love with. It took some time to figure out a load that is extremely accurate, and drops game with one shot. The TC Shockwave bullets are very accurate, but do not expand as advertised due to a muzzleloaders low velocity range, use a hunting bullet with a semi hollow point to induce expansion (I.E. a bullet from the Barnes lineup).
Rite out of the box, I did a fifty yard site-in shot 2 inches low from the 2ring, 2nd shot in the 2 ring.
Took it back to a hundred, second adjustment shot in the two ring, now I'm sighted in for zero at 100yds.
I shoot this thing out to 225yds with no issues, and would shoot a deer or elk at this range any day of the week.
This is the only model of triumph you'll need. The extra options on the other models are a waste of cash.
