Shimano Syncopate FG Spinning Reel

I have a Shimano 2500 Sienna FG, 1000 FG Spirex, & the 2500 Syncopate FG reel. The Spirex is definitely the best of the three, this one coming in second, and the Sienna 3rd (the Sienna was my main reel, but now is my back up reel). I paired up this reel with a Shimano Stimula 6'6" ML rod, spooled it with 6lb line, and it's earned it's spot as one of my main set ups. We can fish with two rods here in AZ & this is one of the two that I hit a lake with.

Wasn't to wild about the Quick Fire II feature, but now I'm sold. You'll definitely be able to get way more casts into the strike zone, when you're going to be mainly throwing lures: spinners, spoons, rooster tails, crankbaits, soft plastics, or jigs. Main reason I invested in the Spirex reel & super happy with that reel. Obviously this a good choice for someone just learning how to use a spinning reel, BUT it's also good for more experienced anglers. More time in the strike zone.

I know how to use a regular bail, no problem, I can rock my Sienna & Okuma Avenger reels no problem. I basically use this reel when targeting trout & bass, because I'm going to need to make a lot of casts. I can cast one handed, super far, because of the Quickfire II feature. That basically means more opportunities to make a presentation to a fish, and hook them. Almost like using a baitcaster one handed. It's also less wear on your wrist & arms. This is just a solid reel, it's sealed, and rated for saltwater. Have had it for 2 years with no problems.

FRIEND USES THIS REEL FOR HIS TROUT FISHING. GOOD FOR THOSE WHO DON'T LIKE "FINGER" THE LINE.
