I bought this rod about a year ago for Crappie fishing with light jigs. It's fantastic!!
I've caught over 200 Crappie with it and it is still like new. OK, the handle is a little dirty. I've also used it on perch with a jig and worm on the bottom. Same story, works great. I bought my wife one to use this year since she likes mine so well and was acting like I might not get it back.
I purchased this rod a few years ago and took it to the Naples, FL fishing pier. Very often a dolphin would take the hooked fish on your line and swim away with it. The Micro rod would bend but never break. It is truly a remarkable rod with enough strength to handle any fish.
I bought this rod in the 6'6" length on sale this winter. After having it out several times this spring I can honestly say, despite the price, it's one of my favorite rods. It has nice balance, is light, and has great sensitivity. It's not as flimsy as some lightweight rods and has a nice backbone for hook sets and fighting fish. I have been throwing a fly and bubble and have caught a ton of fish on this rod already. You can feel the lightest strikes and fighting fish, even little trout, is a blast.
