Taylor of Burley, ID - May, 04 2012:

The Rock Chucker press is nice and solid, but I was hoping the 'Master Reloading Kit' would have come with at least a progressive press. I'll end up replacing it in a couple of years, probably. The rest of the kit is great. I'm glad it came with a book. It's already taught me stuff I didn't know. If you're going to buy a kit, this is a good one, just know that as you get more into reloading, you'll probably need a better press.

Frank of Modesto, CA - May, 14 2012:

I have been reloading for all of six months now, and am by no means a pro. But this made it affordable to get into the whole deal. Now that I know more about what I'm doing, I wish I had gone with a kit that had a turret press at least. I'll be buying one soon. The single stage feels really solid, but It's kind of a pain to have to set my dies all the time when I only reload one caliber of ammo.

Bob of Tucson, AZ - April, 20 2013:

I've used my Rockchucker for reloading for over 20 years and over 1 million rounds. You won't find a BETTER press, but if you shoot lots volume, a turret based press like the Dillon is probably a better choice for the high-volume reloader. If you are reloading for extreme accuracy, a single stage press like the Rockchucker can't be beat. Turret presses are great for very high volume, but a single stage press can't be beat for crafting and tweeking extremely accurate long range varmint loads. With the locking ring on each die, it is NOT necessary to reset or re-adjust every die when it is removed from the press. The locking ring will hold the settings forever. Just reinsert the die and tighten it to the locking ring position and your ready to roll.

Mark of Portland, OR - June, 22 2014:

I've used my inherited Rock chucker for twelve years and I loaded all my ammo on it at first. I use it for only my bottle neck cases for extreme accuracy now and use the RCBS pro 2000 for mass straight wall production. I would only buy RCBS products, I've seen other presses implode trying to keep up with my amount of reloading. I've worn out or broken a couple minor parts due to my own heavy handedness and their customer service is outstanding. Parts were replaced in days usually at no charge.
