Okuma Integrity Fly Reel is one of the results or that research. Okuma's large arbor design gives faster line retrieval for a single action reel. The Integrity series features a uniquely patented, oversized stainless steel-based disc drag. This amazing drag has little to no initial resistance, with incredible high-end drag pressure. The drag is controlled by an oversized roller bearing, allowing for drag free retrievals.

This reel is a bit heavier than what I'm used to, it's not really astetically pleasing, but it is a workhorse. Goes well with a 8-10wt Ugly Stick fly rod for fishing Reds in Alaska or Silver Salmon in the saltwater.

Heavier reel but, the disc drag has little start up resistance and is fairly smooth throughout its range. I’m using on my Steelhead rod and it has served me fairly well.
