Would not buy this again.

Works great for bow hunting, but can never seem to get it to range past 500 yards.

Not worth the extra $$$

By

from Vallejo, CA

While I love Nikon products this one fell short. Not in the optics but in the fact that about 500 Yards is the max you will get a read on so the 1000 they advertise is not right. In addition, I went to Nikon site and it has been "retired" which means they are not making any more of them.

Nikon RifleHunter 1000 Rangefinder has a verynice compact size, extremely easy to carry and operate. Extremely easy to power on and activate to check distances. Very clear image sighting and distance readings. The owner's instruction manual is very well written and clearly illustrated, very easy to follow.

Very disappointed, these were no better than the 400 Yd range finder that I own, so I returned it. When these companies make these products they need to try them out on animals like the Antelope, range finders doesn't seem to like to pick up on them.

Rangefinder works well! Like that the reticle will change for low light and also a really sunny day. Didn't range as far as I had hoped. Good overall rangefinder.

Nikon RifleHunter 1000 Rangefinders

Just bought this after owning a Leica 1200- and the Nikon blows the Leica OUT OF THE WATER. I measured out exactly 60 ft in my back yard; the Leica would read 22 or 23 yds. The nikon reads either 20.1 or 20.0 every time. I've also ranged non-reflective targets out to 750 yds on a sunny day. Very pleased with this RF
