This is comfortable, quiet stuff. These pants are made from a denim-like material that is very durable and doesn't pick up briars easily and prevents thorns from poking straight through unlike "softer" materials. It is relatively cool but is loose enough to layer nicely without being too bulky. It is very effective in areas with a brown-tan base color but also works better than I thought it would in greener areas. I have used Natural Gear over the course of several years in low and high Arizona deserts, scrub brush, prairies, juniper and mid-elevation pine forests with great effect. I think this is the most versatile commercial camo for anyone living in the Southwest.
