Arktik Hunter
of Fairbanks, AK - March, 15 2013:
This camera is a compromise in price and quality. It takes pictures down to -40F with Lithium batteries, however the cameras temp sensor or temp data display doesnt show the temp. I bought this for surveillance and the red glow was a disappointment ( I am new to trail cams). It side to side target sensing seems adequate in warmer temps, but in the cold as I drove my pickup right up to the camera head on, it doesnt sense the trucks presence at 20 feet until after the door opens and I step out. It is sufficient for wild game use in areas with few or none night time human visitors to steal your cam after they see the red glow. It works well for daytime surveillance of human targets (red glow issue) it takes great night time pictures, of trash stealing dogs, wayward moose, and the pretend mormon bible toting house thieves casing all houses looking unoccupied. For the price it is not a bad little unit however if you can afford this, it would be wiser to buy an upgrade to NO GLOW cameras.
