Growing up we all herd Mitchell Three Hundreds were the best reel ever made. While this might have been true in the 1960’s and 1970’s it is far from accurate today. I don’t really have anything bad to say about the new 300’s I just feel that you can get a much nicer reel for the price now. I would look at the Shimano, Daiwa, or Pflueger reels in the same price range before I settled for the old standby 300.

I own this reel and it is the best one i have ever owned. it is the smoothest i have ever seen. best bass reel ever made hands down.
