We recently used this oven on a pioneer trek and LOVED it. It boiled water just as fast if not faster than a pot on our stove at home. It is sturdy and well-crafted, as you would expect Lodge products to be.

The very day we got our Dutch ovens, we used the 12 inch deep to cook a chicken and rice dinner. It was delicious, thanks to my wife's good cooking, but also thanks to a great oven! My wife had never cooked in one before that day and absolutely loved it! It cooks evenly and cleans up very nicely. We look forward to many a cooking adventure with our new oven.

Love it. We have only cooked an apple cobbler so far. Can't wait to use it on the fire.
