I went to Cabelas today set on buying a pair of Vortex 10x42 binoculars based on the research I have done online. After looking through 3 levels of vortex 10x42's (viper, cabelas intrepid, and razor) for the sake of comparison I asked to see the leupold mojave bx-3 pro guide HD. I was very impressed with the Vortex vipers and was ready to buy them becuase I felt they were the best combination of price, quality, warranty and reputation. Vortex was the brand that I had read the most positive reviews about on the internet. However, after looking through the BX-3's just for the sake of brand loyalty (I own several leupold rifle scopes) my mind was instantly changed. I was set on buying a pair of Vortex today, but the only line they had that compared to the BX-3 pro guide HD for clarity was the 10x42 razors which are an $1,100 binocular. Double the price and I believe the leupolds still had the edge as far as clarity. After the side by side comparison and about 40 minutes of internal conflict trying to find a reason to go with the Vortex's which I had already resolved to purchase, I bought the leupolds and am very satisfied with my purchase. I feel that of all the binoculars I handled today the leupolds had the best optical quality along with a great warranty and a legendary name. I would recommend to anyone shopping for binoculars that they give all brands an un-biased try.

Close! Very Close, but not an HD GOLD RING

By

from Western Kentucky

Comments about Leupold BX-3 Mojave Binoculars - Mossy Oak Treestand:

The BX 3 HD Mohave is very good, in fact it is second best pair I own! The very best pair I own and love is the now discontinued Gold Ring HD 10x42. The gold rings are heavier, have a center hinge and the diopter adjustment is not as user friendly as the Mojave. BUT, the clarity of the gold rings is slightly sharper and slightly superior to the Mojave. I do have to admit that the lighter weight, open bridge, and the very user friendly diopter adjustment on the Mojave is a real advantage. But what do you buy binoculars for?? TO LOOK THROUGH!! Not to admire. C'mon LEUPOLD, slap a golden ring on the Mojave, assemble it in Oregon and upgrade the lenses to the quality of the gold ring HDs. Remember, Winchester screwed up royally when they dropped the pre 64 line of firearms, COLT screwed up when they dropped the Python, don't follow their lead LEUPOLD, bring back the gold ring HD BINOCULARS.

Will always buy Leupold brand.

Comments about Leupold BX-3 Mojave Binoculars - Mossy Oak Treestand:

I purchased my binoculars quite a few years ago, and have been very pleased with them. I hunt whitetail, bear and turkey and never go hunting or scouting without my binoculars. I'm in the woods hunting and scouting about 110 days a year in whatever the weather happens to be. In all the years I've had them, I have never had a single problem with my binoculars untill late this past winter. I noticed my binoculars got moisture inside them and the diopter adjustment wouldn't work. I was reminded of the warranty that Leupold offers with their products so I sent them in and they sent back a brand new 2017 model of the same thing. Quite frankly I probably broke my binoculars myself, I don't baby them. This company is just plain awesome and confident. I will always buy Leupold for binoculars, rangefinders or spotting scope. I'm a bow hunter only, but if I used a rifle, I would get my scope from them also. Thanks Leupold.

Best binos i have ever had

By

from Montana, United States

Comments about Leupold BX-3 Mojave Binoculars - Mossy Oak Treestand:

These binos are the clearest I have ever looked through. The focus knob is easy and convenient to use. The binos feel like they are built like a tank without being to heavy. Very excited for next hunting season to really test them out.

Great Binoculars...

By

from Kalispell, Montana

Comments about Leupold BX-3 Mojave Binoculars - Mossy Oak Treestand:

I purchased a pair of 10x32's about ten years ago. They fell out of the truck the second year I had them and the lense on the inside came loose. I called Leupold and they could not replace my original binoculars, so they sent me these BX-2 Acadia in 10x42's. These are great binoculars. I used them this last hunting season during both archery and modern rifle and they performed better than my Nikons. It is a rarity to have a company honor a warranty with a product better than was purchased. I have several scopes as well. A leupold fan for life.....

Great product

By

from Undisclosed

Comments about Leupold BX-3 Mojave Binoculars - Mossy Oak Treestand:

Bought this in Dec 2016, went hunting in -32degreesC temperatures and the optics performed very well. Adjustments were a little stiffer, but still easy to make with heavy mitts on. Front lens cover broke off at second time I took it off. The little rubber hing system did not function well at the very cold temperatures. Overall I am very pleased with how it performed in the cold and ith the clarity in low light conditions.

Leupold stands behind their product

By

from Gillette, Wy

Comments about Leupold BX-3 Mojave Binoculars - Mossy Oak Treestand:

My Acadia binoculars were about 5 years old. When I was out elk hunting this year in the rain and snow storm one of the plastic rings beneath the eyepiece was loose. After that there was always a yellow and blue haze around the field of view. I sent them in to be repaired and less than a month later I received a brand new pair of binoculars in the mail. That is the first time I have ever had a problem with any of my optics. And that is why every rifle scope and every pair of binoculars in my home are made by Leupold. There are not many companies these days who stand behind their products. I will continue to be a customer for life.

Great Product, except......

By

from Ohio, United States

Comments about Leupold BX-3 Mojave Binoculars - Mossy Oak Treestand:

Just purchased these BX-2 Acadia Binoculars. So far they are very impressive, except for the front caps.....They are not designed very well for the quality one would expect from the Leupold Brand....losing them could be an issue. Not secured very well on the product.....
