Heavy knife but very well balanced which makes all parts of the cutting edge available for use and the design provides for several different but safe grip positions. Daily carry and used for just about everything. Edge when received was amazingly sharp but not a really good working edge for me since it was a little too delicate for heavy work. Once I got the working edge I wanted it has remained very sharp through a lot of use and rarely requires touching up. Sheath is vegetable tanned which I appreciate. I prefer a little higher carry and am making another sheath. Very good value for the price and it is MADE IN THE USA. If you want a serious field knife and don't mind a little more heft than with a much smaller blade you will not be disappointed.Jbordi of Kimberly, ID - December, 31 2013:
Very nice knife! Very well balanced. Some of these blades have a small bend in them if you look down the spine. Not sure if this is normal, but I returned mine for one that had a straight blade. MADE IN USA!!!
