I am a novice Goose Hunter and have spent many hours on the internet trying to learn the art. One of the things I found was reference to Goose Flags and Kites. My search found various companies and models but I was attracted to the HS Product. However, many of the older reviews on some of the sites were critical of the quality and materials of the flags. I eventually found what appears to be an updated version and it is evident that the folks at Hunter's Specialties listened to their customers! First is the fact that you get a "twofer"; that is both a flag and a kite. Convrsion from one to the other is easy. Both versions are quite functional. Second, the materials; this was the source of the most complaints of the older products. The model I got is SOLID. The rod is make of Aluminum with a durable plastic "head". The body appears to be quite durable as well. The wires used to establish the rigidity in the wings are extremely strong and look to be able to resist bending. I used the flag during the Early Season here and finally bagged my first Goose! Certainly, the real challenge will be during the Regular Season when the true migratory Geese are flying. However my luck turns out, I anticipate that this Flag/Kite will last me through several seasons. Leon
