Not good. Caught a raccoon in the cage and the booger ate it's way through the door and squeezed itself out. The mesh-wire on the door is much thinner than the wire on rest of the cage. It should be manufactured with thicker wire on door to prevent this from happening. Brand new cage too! First time used!Clay of Albuquerque, NM - May, 06 2011:
Alright for the neighborhood if you've got a problem with your trash being eaten. Kind of light weight, not sure if it'll hold a larger animal.Melinda of Fairbanks, AK - September, 07 2011:
I bought the medium-sized one and it was okay, but then I bought the small and boy, talk about useless. Either the front rod support bracket is too high or the door hinges are too low, but the upshot of it is that the rod doesn't slide. I've tried taking it apart and bending the rod in a curve but it's still hanging up, and if the rod doesn't slide the trap doesn't work. Buy a Hav-A-Hart instead. Not only would I not recommend this to a friend, I wouldn't recommend it to an enemy.Tom T of Tucson, AZ - September, 23 2011:
Traps came heavily coated in black paint. I had to sand the paint off the trip rod and supports to make the traps work properly. Other than that, a good general purpose trap for the money.Bill of Sunset, UT - January, 10 2014:
Junk. I had to do a lot of customizing to the trap (bending supports, greasing joints, removing paint on trigger) to even get it to remotely work. Trigger is very heavy. I had all my bait stolen with coon tracks leading up to it before I tweaked it.
