Works great for me in 54 cal rifle and 44 cal cap and ball. Shoots cleaner and easier to clean up after shooting.gene irelan of ottumwa, IA - December, 26 2012:
a really good shooting powder. For best results, I found that to run a "spit patch" down the bore after each shot an then a dry patch really improved accuracy...of course, if you really need to reload in a hurry, you can do so, no problem...but, you will find if you do this for a period of several shots, your shots will not be in as tight of group...just my experience...but, 1 inch groups is easy at 100 yards with this powder for me....an cleanup is easy too..I prefer loose powder to "tweak" my loads for that perfect hit...doing so in advance is not a problem for me. put in my speed loader an on my way....
