I decided at the last moment that the boots I had were'nt up to the task of the Archery Elk hunting trip in the Eagle cap wilderness area in eastern Oregon. My budget was already strained si I decided that I'd pick up these boots. I literally bought them, went home, Packed for the hunt and left in the morning for Oregon. I wore them in the truck all the way there and was praying that they wouldn't kill my feet for the next two weeks. We parked and started the hike in. (Thirteen miles) I only carried a 15 lbs day pack because we had horses to pack the heavy stuff. But after 13 miles I expected to have at least a hot spot or two on my feet. My body was maxxed out after going from spokane 2000 ft elev. to almost 9000 ft in less than 24 hrs but my feet felt great. These are great inexpensive shoes! We got a 5 pt bull and about 10 blue grouse. It was a great trip!
