I went out shooting for the first time this spring. I took four different brands of ammo with me. I shot around 60 rounds of two brands before loading some HSM ammo in. There were no visible issues with these rounds. First one fired and then the issues began. The second shell jammed in the chamber so tight I had to tap the charging handle back with a wooden hammer handle. The forward assist would even think about clambering the round. I tried about five other shells and they all jammed. When back to the other brands to make sure the issue was not with the rifle. It fired all of them flawlessly. It even shot the steel case stuff without issue. I won't waste my money or time with these again. I have contacted the company to see if they will do anything for me. We will see.
Shot about 30 rounds out of my dpms ar15 and then a the casing split and jammed after I fired my rifle
Cases are more brightly polished than most "factory" ammo. No dents or dings.
Zero malfunctions in first trial box. Every round went bang. Not one flier in box.
62 grain .223/.556 -
Ran the box through two of my scoped LWRC M6 SPR MOD 0's - 16 inch barrel - 1:7 twist - 25 rounds per weapon.
Achieved 8 three shot groups per rifle of 1.25 MOA or better. Last two remaining rounds were shot as a two shot group of 1.0 MOA.
My complaint is the price = $0.5998 per round. Now granted its 62 grain...but I can buy 55 grain Geco at an every day month after month price of $0.39 SHIPPED and get the same 1.25 or better MOA...so what would motivate me to repeat purchase?
I bought the 500 round bulk box of .223 55gr FMJ and after 100 rounds fired, so far so good. Unlike the other two reviews I have not experienced any FTF, FTE or jammed rounds. This stuff is re-manufactured ammo so I expected some cosmetic blemishes on the cases but was surprised by the lack of nicks and have not seen any dented cases. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is I'm holding my final judgement until the entire box has been fired.
I was testing different ammo throughout the day (about 30 rounds per batch) and loaded these into my AR mag. I fired 5 rounds and the last round jammed during feed. After 5 minutes trying to eject the unfired round, I checked the other rounds. Because these are reloaded brass, they all have the typical dents and nudges that aren't removed. I suspect this may have been the cause for the jam. The initial jam was such a work to unjam that I just stopped firing these altogether throughout the day. I wouldn't risk losing time and damaging a rifle to save a few pennies per round. No-go for next time.
I purchased the rounds in the big surplus box for $100 for 200. Figured for the price they'd be somewhat decent, well they're garbage. I brought three different types of rounds to shoot, and every time these rounds were fired in quick succession, they'd jam up my rifle, or get a soft primer strike. Now, before you say "it's your rifle", remember I shot three different manufacturer's ammunition. The other two, 28 rounds in a mag, fired full auto, worked perfectly fine but when it came to these rounds, the 5th round everytime would jam up.
I don't recommend these rounds.
