Because of the design, when you tighten the side thumb screw it causes the sides to spread apart allowing the bottom to slide out of the slot. I was able to bend the sides inward enough using vise grips to get the holder to work but you need to keep an eye on the sides to make sure they don't spread apart. Also, one of the thumb screw nuts that is welded to the side pulled loose on one side. The fork that holds the bow needs to be an inch longer. Split limb bows are wider and will stick out the side. I am using it but am looking for a different holder.
