I BOUGHT THIS MACHETE ABOUT A YEAR AGO. I'LL RETURN IT BECAUSE THE BLADE HAS BENT. NOT THE STEEL SHAFT BUT THE BLADE ITSELF. OTHERWISE, IT WORKED GREAT.THE TIP HAS ALSO BENT, EDGE ROLLED OVER. NEEDS STRAIGHTENED OUT WITH A HAMMER

I returned my machete and Sportsman's WareHouse immediately took the damaged machete and replaced it with a brand new one. Tis a pleasure dealing with these folks! I also have a curved Gerber machete that is about 7 years old. It looks and preforms like the day I got it. Perhaps the straight machete I returned was somehow defective.

The size is perfect to put in a pack to clear brush and cut limbs. We dirt bike and have to clear trails from down stuff after bad storms.
