For starters, the blade remains loose regardless of how tight the knob is torqued. Using the fine blade, I was able to get 3-4 strokes across the breast bone of a cow elk before the blade folded and completely broke at the hinge point. I would've tossed it as far as I could into the woods if I wasn't planning on returning it. Buyer beware...if you plan on cutting anything more than a twig, look elsewhere.
This is a great saw! I have had one for about 10 years and have used it to cut limbs/firewood up to ~ 5" in diameter as well as bone. Never had to change the blade and it is easy to clean. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a reliable, lightweight saw that can be kept in your hunting or camping gear.
Works great with smaller limbs, bones. any bigger things makes it get very weak at the hinge.
