Gerber Brush Thinner - The dramatically shaped carbon steel blade is set in a sturdy, newly redesigned, easier to grip handle with gator over-mold. It's perfect for clearing out brush and limbs from tree stands and stream settings. A non-stick coating on the blade reduces friction. The contoured sheath contains a polyethylene board to protect the user and the blade, a five coil zipper and Velcro retention strap.

have put this thing through many obstacles and it has always won. Very great brush tamer.

These are the best brush-clearing tools. I bought one each for my air boat, jet boat and four wheeler as I take one with me every time I go out. They cut through 2"+ alders (which are a hardwood) in one swipe if you hold the tree and put slight pressure on it away from the cut. You can chop your way through bigger trees as well.... its just sharp sharp sharp.... Be careful and put a wrist strap on it so it doesn't slip out of your hand and get you. Awesome tool.... never leave home without one. I would recommend everyone try one as they are better than a chainsaw for cutting brush.. and quieter. The machetes convex blade doesn't do the job quite so well. Theres a lot of power in the outer edge of these blades. Hopefully Gerber will continue to make this great tool.
