Evan of Ft. Collins, CO - September, 11 2012:
I used this round for the first time with my vangaurd, on 9/8/2012. At about 200yds I dropped two antelope in Wyoming. Both antelope seemed to be dead before they hit the ground. This was true for one at least. My tendancy is to pull to the right, and I did. The one I thought was dead, I hit on the front right shoulder. This 130gr round blew throught the shoulder bone and up and out the spine. This round claims to penetrate and maintain maximum weight retention, well it does. As for the other antelope. Dead in less then 5 secs, clean shot straight through the heart, entry and exit wounds were almost the exact same size, which was no bigger than a regular sized pen or pencil. GREAT ROUND!Dave of Flemingsburg, KY - November, 15 2012:
Tried this shell for the first time this year. I sighted them in for 100 yards, and preformed quite well. 4th day of Deer Season, shot a nice older 8 pt deer at 60 yards. Bullet was devastating, good clean shot to the lungs. Left an entry hole of approx 1" and exit hole straight across of appox 2". One shot, one kill. Deer ran 40 yards and expired. I will use them again! Equipment: Winchester Model 70 Westerner with Nikon BDC scope.
