I got this and some other items to try out for a friend back east. What I've found out was this; it melts away into the ground slowly. I don't know yet if it will work or not but, I know it does not blends in very well and isn't getting eaten. It maybe to early to tell about effects or if I just have it in the wrong place! I can not recommend this one way or the other yet, this kind of item takes time to tell. But I know it currently is not a fast acting item. I hope this helps others.

Excellent product keeps deer coming back again and again. My stand is positioned to where deer will cross heading to the stump where I have placed this block. They walk right under my tree only focusing on getting to this product.
