I love this pack. I've used it on two Alaskan moose/caribou hunts. It works great as a day pack. You can carry everything you need for the day including enough survival gear to spend the night out if needed. It also works well as a meat hauler. I have used it to haul out several moose quarters and other parts.Ray of Sparks, NV - January, 11 2012:
Great day or multi-day pack. Excellent for keeping gear safe during those long pre-dawn hikes.Pat of Gilroy, CA - February, 14 2012:
I have the older version and its and strong day pack which handles a large load. I bone out my wild pig and hike it out no problem with back aches and the end of the pack out. Gonna get another for the wife since she is always using my pack.Sebastian of Tucson, AZ - September, 25 2012:
I am icredibly happy with this bag, I have had several hunting packs and this is the first one that I have no complaints about. It has the versatility to do just about whatever you want. The webbing on it provides several different options including the addition of a gun scaboard. I have used it to pack out deer and it has a very large main compartment that is top loading. I would reccommend it for day hunts as well as weekend hunts.Tom of Castle Rock, CO - November, 21 2012:
Nice pack for a day hunt. Quiet and comfortableBeans and Bullets of Star, ID - May, 16 2014:
Purchased this pack 2012 from Sportsmans on sale, great price. I packed in 8-12 miles to spike camp and I was pleasantly shocked at how much room this pack offered. Initially it looked compact, until I started packing gear. After making the factory suggested adjustments to fit my body, this pack nicely fit all my gear, 35-40 lbs, while mules brought in the rest. The pack was very comfortable on the long trek, well balanced, frame kept body heat away. Waist pouches are well placed and spacious, but not practable when the belt is clipped. I am not large framed, 33 waist, 185 lbs, I ran out of waist belt adjustment. I would like to see a pouch on each shoulder strap (GPS, radio, calls, snacks) instead of purchasing them separate. The best part, open the wings and main compartment, fits an elk quarter inside the main compartment and still be comfortable for the hike out. This is by far the best pack I have hunted with. This is a piece of gear you need for your daily hunt.Doug of Stevensville, MT - August, 09 2014:
Was looking for a pack larger than a my day pack and smaller than my heavy, and the X2 fit the bill. Just got back from an overnight hike 26 miles in and out with a 2800ft change in elevation. The pack loaded was 46lbs and I loved the way it felt on my back and hips. I have the Eberlestock rifle scabbard, and need to pick up a water blather then I will be ready for The Missouri Breaks archery elk hunt. If I ever need another pack it WILL Be an Eberlestock.
