I picked one of these up a few months ago, and love it so much it has become my "go to" pole for fishing on my lake. I find it to be trouble free and very easy to use

I've had 3 of these units (Turbo-D 120 option-12# test line) over the past 4-5 years fishing out of a canoe...4 rods in front of me with different baits...usually a crankbait, soft plastic like a tube jig or wacky-rig, in-line spinner like a Mepps, and another lure suited to what's biting best on that day (buzzbait for topwater pike or smallies, a second crankbait running at different depths and/or in a different color than the first one, etc.).
The pick-up for a spincast reel is excellent...keeps even fast-action lures like buzzbaits moving nicely. Casting smoothness and distance are also top features. The medium-heavy action rod that comes with the reel has come apart at inopportune times (2-piece construction)so I would check that periodically unless you enjoy the surprise of having the top 2 1/2 feet of the rod sailing out into the water...of course you get it back, but I finally used a strong glue to make it a 1-piece unit. I fish about 50 days per year averaging 5 to 6 hours per trip, so these reels get a lot of use. 2 of the 3 are still going strong, but I did get a possibly-rogue unit that only made it through 1 season before seizing up on me. I still consider it the best spincast reel I've used (assuming it's working at peak performance) over the years on rivers and lakes fishing mainly northern pike, largemouth and smallmouth bass.
